A new low

We have now reached a new low. Someone manage to BREAK one of the toilet seats in the mens' loo. Not the hinge. One of the arms.

Either fat or force. Either is terrifying. Why Kali why? Was it then taken as a token of the destruction?

My porcelain. Let me show you it.

Perhaps it wasn't taken as a token of the deed done. Perhaps it was merely impossible to retrieve.

Why? Why take the broken seat? Must you question? Isn't it obvious?

To the victor go the spoils of war!

BTW, wouldn't the missing piece actually be plastic?

I had to comment on this one; the same thing happened in my workplace a few weeks ago, turns out the maintenance person had raised the seat when cleaning the toilet, when he turned his back it came slamming down; the force of a plastic toilet seat vs. the hard porcelain of the bowl was too much and the arm went flying :)

Ray: I was thinking the same thing.

I hated the store's toilets when I worked there. Mostly because staff don't get their own decent washroom in the staff area we're all sharing gungy stalls with all manner of shoppers with dubious personal grooming habits.

Add to that a water-saving flush system that rarely flushed and a tendency for "Store Standards" or whoever to underorder the basics of cleanliness like toilet paper, paper towels and soap...

Well, it's one of a number of things I don't miss.

Unrelated story - On Monday night, a friend who used to bowl in the league with us stopped in to say hi and asked how my new job was going. I raved about how much I loved not going to walmart anymore, raved more about never having to go in there again, hate the place with a passion etc.

Not a funny story on its own, but it happened that the personnel manager of my old store was bowling on the team next to us that night, a fact I forgot about at the time.

Still gives me a chuckle...
