Attention Wal-Mart Customers ....

ATTENTION WAL-MART CUSTOMERS ....

"Will the customer who ordered the twenty-five double cheeseburgers please return to the McDonald's? Your order is ready and your food is getting cold." - as requested from the McDonald's shift manager.

True story. Those words came right out of my mouth and right over our intercom.

I think it was for a Little League team as I saw a man go running by with a case of soda and a bag of ice.

The McDonald's woman was truly hacked off though - because she said he'd already been 15 minutes after the pick-up time - and they'd warned him that they were not going to re-make the hamburgers if they got cold.

On another note, they took out the McDonald's soda machine that was along the front registers this weekend. Also gone are all the cup dispensers from the registers. Customers can no longer order McDonald's from the Wal-Mart registers.

I asked the McDonald's manager and he said they had lost thousands over the past year from customers and associates grabbing a cup and getting a free drink. The cost of the cups alone was killing them, he said. So much for synergy. The rotten-to-the-core scamming public wins again.

Gotta love it..... :)

Wal-Mart and McDonald's...I can get a head ache from the big box store and a stomach ache from the horrible food all at once...

What a perfect idea.

Labor Day 2001 was the last time I ate at a McD. I walked in at 11.03 just as breakfast ended and ordered a fish sandwich. 21 minutes later I was back on the road. McDonalds is neither fast nor are they food. What they are is a half-assed understaffed organization with an overly ambitious and unattainable menu trying to be all things to all people. I've walked in at noon only to find 5 of the 6 registers closed and the entire staff overwhelmed just trying to do the drive-thru.
If people are ripping off McD's then it's because the don't want to stand in line for a half hour to get a crappy $3.29 fish sandwich. Stick it to the man...in the clown suit.

Our Wal-Mart McDonald's have been replaced w/ Subway. Much healthier.

the WalMarts where I live don't have ANYTHING for food service
It is just an eye glass place.

^^Just an eyeglass place? Wal-Marts in my neck of the woods have a hair and nail salon, mini bank, eye glass place, photo studio, and a McDonalds. It's crazy.

Our Wal-Mart has a Subway now too - much tastier!

BTW, I can proudly say that I used the phrase "howler monkey" IN a Wal-Mart. I went there last night with a friend and this little kid was having the tantrum to end all tantrums. I leaned over to my friend, and said, "don't you wish that little howler monkey would put a lid on it?" My friend almost died laughing.

They finally removed the broken ICEE machine from the stupercenter I normally service (as a vendor rep). It's only been sitting there a year.

"The cost of the cups alone was killing them, he said"... that's a revealing statement. Next time you pay $1.50 for a Biggee Coke, remember that your cup costs more than the nasty syrup.

Recognize?

This blog post was more than likely written by BB personally. It's void of imagination and conjecture.

You get what you pay for.

May as well have phoned in the weather.

For the love of Gaia, why do you come here? Is it an attempt to make yourself feel better? Release some of that impotence by banging keys on a keyboard? Give your wrist a break from playing with your Wii for 18 hours?
Are you this tedious in RL? I'd be willing to be there are MiLs that are less of a PITA.
